OBJECTIVES
General objective 23: Economics, organization, management, and marketing in agriculture
Specific objective 23.1: Economic substantiation of technologies and production costs, gross margin and profitability of agricultural plant and animal products, at farm level

PROJECT SUMMARY
The project involves the unified use of methodologies, techniques and equipment specific to an analytical study, data processing and valorization. In the methodology used in the project, estimates and budgets of income and expenses for plant and animal products, obtained in conventional and organic farming systems, will be drawn up, differentiated according to the technologies applied, the level of allocation of production factors and, implicitly, the yields per unit area and per unit of product. The project will create scientifically based instruments for regulating the functionality of the agricultural product market and a system of indicators, efficiency, competitiveness, profitability, etc., which will play an important role in decisions regarding the future development of the agricultural sector. The quantification of technical-economic and financial indicators concerns the cost of production, the market price, labor productivity, profitability, standard gross margin, the break-even point. The normative-constructive method or the method of variants will be used, which is based on information and estimated calculations of indicators.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  • Study on the economic evolution trend of plant and animal production systems, obtained conventionally and organically;
  • Technical and economic documentation for the main plant and animal products, obtained in conventional and organic systems – technological estimates, income and expense budgets, unit production costs, estimates of the market price, gross margin, standard output;
  • Study on the analysis of economic efficiency for the main plant and animal products, obtained conventionally and organically;
  • Practical guide with technical-economic solutions for the main plant and animal products, obtained in conventional and organic systems.
