PROJECT SUMMARY
The project is a large-scale, multi-year study and contains standard cost calculations for different types of agricultural holdings and profiles (plain, hill, mountain) in order to diversify agricultural production, improve economic performance and market orientation, by applying public policy facilities at the level of small farms, family farms and their associations. Small farms are generally undercapitalized, cannot ensure a high degree of mechanization of technologies, growers resorting to services for certain mechanical works, crop maintenance stages being carried out, in most cases, with simple mechanical or even manual means. The workforce is usually represented by family members and sometimes by temporarily employed personnel to meet the work needs during peak periods. Family associations specialized in certain areas of agricultural production have a much higher level of technical means. The project aims to substantiate, from a technical and economic point of view, standard costs for different types of agricultural holdings and profiles (growing cereals and technical plants, vegetable crops, perennial and permanent crops, etc.) depending on the potential of the production areas, namely plains, hills, mountains. The main elements used for the specific calculations of standard costs for different types of agricultural holdings and profiles (small farms, family farms, family associations) and their economic size will be determined based on the following methodological criteria: production systems and structures, production technologies, income and expenditure budgets, standard output (SO). Standard costs will be calculated for the specific activities of each crop, depending on the crop area: fertilization, soil work, sowing, maintenance work, etc. The degree of complexity of the project derives from the use of a proprietary calculation methodology, with elements resulting from the techniques and procedures used in the EU. These standard costs can be included in the PNDR 2014-2020 and used (as standard costs according to R 1305/2013 art. 62 (2)) starting with the following years.

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
Stage 1: Study on mechanized and manual works for the plain, hill and mountain area
Stage 2: Development of standard costs for different plant crops in the plain area
Stage 3: Development of standard costs for different crops in the hill and mountain area
Stage 4: Development of standard costs for different crops in the plain area
Stage 5: Development of standard costs for different plant crops in the hill and mountain area
Stage 6: Development of standard costs for different plant crops in the plain area
Stage 7: Development of standard costs for different crops in the hill and mountain area

EXPECTED RESULTS
Standard costs for different types of farms and profiles, depending on the area culture through fair and verifiable calculation methods.

PROJECT APPLICATION/USE MODULE
By applying the expected results, the aim is to capitalize on the information in the development and substantiation of public policies and in the integrated management of support schemes for agricultural producers;
The results will be applied within the 2014-2020 PNDR project submission sessions and aim to simplify access to support within investment measures in the agricultural field and streamline the use of public funds.
